The Next War 1979 Tension question

Post by Combatengineerjrgmail »

Not sure if I should post in this thread or the 'Scenario and Mods' thread but here goes.

Playing the NATO vs WP the 'The Next War 1979 Tension' scenario and on the first game turn, and subsequent if no invasion declared, a cease fire is in effect. Both sides are allowed to move within there respective national borders. However while I was doing the pre-hostilities movement for the WP there was a two cases where the moving units were hit by interdiction Air Strikes. Before I switched to the NATO side I viewed the air briefing and could see where the Air Superority battle had already started. When I switched to the NATO turn 1 I viewed it again and even more combat had occurred. I've attached two screen shots of the report.

I looked in the editor but I'm not familiar enough with it to know what to change. Anyone point me to what I could change to fix this?

Cease Fire is bugged in that fashion. Or, at least, it was - I'm not sure if the last patch fixed it or not. Are you using the latest version?

I'm 99% sure I saw the bugged ceasefire in the current patch.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man ... weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not [it] an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Should be, just purchased the game and the first thing I did was run the update.

The document labeled 'What's new' that load with the patch does not reference a fix to any bug about ceasefires. Could it be in a Beta patch still in testing?

I should have checked the bug report section as this is a known error. I thought it might just be a scenario bug. Sorry. From the notes before the last patch went out:

Not Fixed - Ceasefire doesn't apply to air units. This is going to be tough, I checked the code and it hasn't changed to this is going to take more testing and won't appear in this patch.
