No combining units into leaders?

Post by lerugray »

Hi

I noticed, unlike most AGEOD games, leaders cannot be combined with troops as they can be in 30 years war and others, or at least I haven't found out how to yet? Is this possible and how to do so? thanks

With WSS, you cannot combine leaders with troops and create subunits like one can in most other Ageod games. There are no corps, divisions, or even ECW's or TYW's "groups."

Leaders works in WSS work very much like how they did in Ageod's earlier titles such as WIA where you could only add leaders to the stack, but couldn't create any subunits within that stack.

The combine button in WSS appears to serve only one purpose: allowing one to combine understrength individual units. If a unit has only 1-3 elements then it can be combined with another understrength unit. But the game won't allow you to split up units once they've been combined.

Considering the scope of WoS, this missing "feature" might make things easier, although some might miss the flexibility. Thanks for the info. I really need to read these game manuals.
