Here's the 23rd Infantry Division and it's in distress. It's got almost everything
it's authorized but it's low on supply and the resdiness is low. It needs a rest
and some refit but it's standing in the front lines like everybody else.

I finally grabbed the supply point close to Orel. I'm hoping that the supply level
will improve a lot now.

Hi Larry, I played my first game up to turn 99 but the only major objective I got was Sevastapol, and I was too weak come the spring to launch a decent Case Blue. So I abandoned it and started over. This time I concentrated on taking Leningrad before the mud, which I have just managed to do. I think this is essential to have any chance of winning the scenario. If you don't take it in the first season then there is pretty much no chance of taking it.

I'm thinking of abandoning this game too. I'm having a devil of a time getting performance out of
the railroad engineers. The rails need to be way ahead of where they are for sustained operations
on the front. The supply levels are too low for going much further east for now. In fact, I think
I will abandon this game and start over.

I got nothing from the RR engineers for the first 5 turns, then they put on a spurt. At turn 30 they are still behind in the south, having just got past Kiev, but it matters less down there. The trick is not to spread them too thin. As long as they get to the front by November when the temporary supply depots run out, you're golden.

Great scenario, really challenging. It's worth buying TOAW4 for this alone.
