MORVAEL : Russian Supply Production

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

MORVAEL : Russian Supply Production

Post by GamesaurusRex »

Regarding Russian supply production by Heavy Industry...

Originally, the rule stated that HI produced 1000 supply for each undamaged HI point per turn.
This output was also modified by an annual "modifier percent" ranging from 100% in 1941 to 180% IN 1945.

In v1.03 Beta 3 - February 7, 2011 : the basic production rate was reduced to 500 supply per HI point per turn.
At that time, the "modifier percent" was still in place and functioning.

Somewhere between then and now, the annual "modifier percent" seems to have been removed.
Do you know if this was intended? Did I miss somewhere in subsequent patches where this was removed? The current game (1.11.01) does not seem to be applying the annual "modifier percent" to the HI supply production. In a current game I'm looking at Jan 1942 supply production and seeing only a flat rate of (500 x HI points) reflected in the Logistics Phase Event Log. (Not to mention rounding errors on the damaged HI points that further reduce supply lower than it should be.)

you sure? wouldn't that imply that HI couldn't not sustain the increase Industrial development and production? I think many would face problems along those lines

as long as you keep HI over like 180 you should be fine....200+ if all goes well.

The multiplier I dont think changes until like 1943 if I remember right.....to increase your supply production.

Basic production rate for RESOURCES -> SUPPLIES is 500.

Multipliers for Germany, Czech, Poland are 100,130,220,270,220.
Multipliers for Soviet Union are 100,110,130,145,155.

It is applied and is working. The only reduction may come from shortage of RESOURCES (and obviously factory damage).

Heavy Industry is the name of the factory that converts RESOURCES resource to SUPPLIES resource.

THANKS MORVAEL ! Appreciate the quick reply. So the 1942 multiplier is only 110% instead of the 130% in the old patch. That explains it.
(Don't you just love having Morvael around ?!)
