How is the multiplayer?

Post by Ktonos »

Considering to get into the game; How is the multiplayer? I recently got into Field of Glory 2. Does SC WW2 in Europe has similar Pbem mechanics? (a lobby with open challenges?).

A second question; FoG2 pbem mechanics are solid, but players usually play a handful of rounds per day. Which is fine, a battle in FoG2 is much shorter than a campaign in SC. How is the average pbem campaign here? In other words, do you feel that there is a solid flow of action during ur pbem campaigns?

Solid flow - yes but depends on player and how much time they have.

PBEM is awesome with this game imo - one of the best games for PBEM. Consider getting the Fall Weiss 12.0 mod which has a much better campaign than the base game. It's easy to download and install (just copy files). The Barbarossa campaign also seems pretty solid although I think(?) there is a German bias in that one, i.e. Germans have an advantage. There is a lobby but I guess it's more usual to find an opponent on this forum. If you put up a game on lobby I think it will be quickly taken up since any games there seem to disappear quickly - i.e. find an opponent.
