Turn 6. Jul/Aug 1940. US Entry Options.

The US selects both options 26, "Relocate fleet to Pearl Harbor" and 11, "US East Coast escorts." Significantly, the US now has the entry and tension levels in all pools (i.e., 22(11) for both Germany/Italy and Japan) to "Gear up production" next turn.

Turn 6. Jul/Aug 1940. Economic Reports.

Italy is definitely a drain on the Germany economy, especially their oil.

Il Duce was just unlucky. Switch the die rolls for Badoglio and Wavell, or make Wavell’s the same as Badoglio’s and the Wavell HQ is probably gone and Egypt belongs to the Axis.

There's more ... wait until I post next turn ... which is still playing out. I must say that I'm having a blast with this game and watching how the ebb and flow of things play out. At this point I'm unsure how the situation in Egypt and the Med, in general, will end up.

It looks to me that the CW made a major mistake in Egypt. If the Axis gets the initiative, the CW has just handed Alexandria to the Italians. Attack that TERR, blitz it off the map, advance into Alexandria.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

That's my first reaction too. It's a +10 attack using the assault table to grab Alexandria, I believe. Even more with shore bombardment added. After that, the road is clear to Caïro too...

Good eye. I definitely missed that one, as you shall see later. The Italian could have gotten +16 assault (+17 w/HQ support, which would have disorganized Graziani). Because of rain in Alexandria the CW could have (would have) forced an assault. It would have been interesting to see how this would have played out. But, how it actually is playing out is interesting too.
