Air Naval strike mission not performed

Post by AngelHeart »

Hail.

I'm contacting you for the second time.
I've got another problem.

I've created a mission (Naval Strike 1).
The F/A 18 Flight 4732 is armed with the AGM-84G HARPOON ICR.
After the take-off the F/A 18 Flight 4732 Return immediately to the aircraft carrier, with the status RTB Mission over.
I don't get it what's wrong.
In the mission, I should attack an enemy ship.

I've posted the scenario.

Thak you for your technical support.

I *think* it's because your aircraft are ready for a land strike mission, not a naval strike, so they land to re-arm/ready. When I set up a new mission with different ready aircraft they didn't take off - they readied for naval strike.

I agree that using a land strike to attack ships won't work well or at all.

Another thing is that you've set the strike size to be 4 aircraft (2 sections), but you've launched a group of 5 aircraft.

So delete that mission, create another as "Naval ASuW Strike", and allocate 4 aircraft.

ASuW means anti-surface warfare.

Create a new mission (ASuW Naval), assign those SLAMERS to it. Once they are ready they will take off and immediately launch their missiles. They'll all get shot down but it shows the effect of proper ordnance and mission.

Create a new mission and assign 8 Harpoon laden planes to it (ASuW Naval) and they will take off, a bunch of the Harpoons will get shot down but by then (after running both of these missions) the DD will run out of missiles and will be hit by a Harpoon. Again, proper mission. Loadout was ok, but had to be re-readied for naval strike and a naval strike mission assigned.
