No recon mission possible

Hi,

playin sovjets. Have a a group with 1 recon unit and some fighters (as recon escort). But when I try to made some recon mission no plane is avalaible. How is that possible?

Just checked it. My recon unit has the following figures:

Ready:20
Max in Unit: 20

So this is "100% ready", right?

another possibility, is your airbase on swamps?

It could also be that your recon is set on night missions.

very strange: My recon is at a rail road at light woods. Nightmission is "no" and still can not made any recons. Whats wrong???

Have you tried to fly it as a manual mission? Perhaps a screenshot?

In the middle is the air unit with recon units. 3*20 SB-2 recons with range of 36 radius. But there is no hax highlightet west of the german units to recon...

not yet - but when I get stuck like that this is what I do

turn every other recon group to night missions (batch command in commanders report) and turn only 313 to day missions, then select the hex in which 4VVS is in while in recon mode to see if that works.

Sometimes there can be a problem when you have different airbases in the same hex from different air commands (which it seems you do not) or when you do not manually select the staging base or originating base and the AI insists it has to be one from a different command.

If that does not work try a screenshot. I am also happy to look at a savefile to investigate if it is PBEM.

Hi,

just saw that the SB-2 are "PATROL" units...not recon

Anybody any idea what the difference is between "patrol" and "recon" unit? Once I placed "recon" units I was able to make recon dutys.
