When a mulberry is fully employed, do I need to keep a naval TF there to maintain it like temporary ports?

Yes, its the same system, so best to place them where you can be efficient in your TF placements (if you can)

Loki - are you sure about that? My experience is that once you build the Mulberry, you DON'T need the TF there to allow units and supplies to be landed.

[&:] - not totally sure ... But you are absolutely right.

Just done a quick test with an old saved game where I had a mulberry in place with a TF offshore. So moved the TF and just ran the turn routine. The mulberry is still functioning.

good lesson in the importance of paying proper attention ... [;)]

Friendly reminder - mulberries get damaged and eventually destroyed by bad weather. I just finished a game where I had some incredibly good luck with weather and one mulberry lasted from June through the end of October. I've had other games where a mulberry lasted little more than a month.

You can assign a construction unit to the port, which has the effect of maintaining the Mulberry and repairing it.
