Soviet Air Recon Not Working

Anyone know how to get Soviet Air Recon working? Its turn 7 and my air recon is not working AT ALL. Totally blind. I can not even recon my own territory. Help Tovarich !

Well, 1st off you can't recon your own territory . Just not allowed to do that.

Do what Telemecus said. Plus make sure you have your Recon planes on the map. Make sure you are using the recon button and make sure you are in range of enemy territory. I'm sure you did all of this but starting at ground zero and working to the air.

Plus are you sure your Soviets know what an Airplane looks like. If not get them out of the trucks.

You don't have them all in Reserves do you? Or do you have your airbase ranges set incorrectly?

I havent the faintest. I dont see any Soviet planes for "recon". I see EW, Fighter, Fighter-Bomber, Level Bomber, Transport. I do have a bunch of EW, Level Bombers, in the VVS bases. 50% of these are set to "night mission". Dont know what my range to the front should be from my bases to begin reconning.

Are you German or Soviet? Soviet I am guessing from the 1st post.

BTW I used your Pskov defense.I still hold the city going into Turn 8...tho it will fall this turn or next. Thx ! It really delayed him 3-4 turns or so.

If you do not see any recon planes at all that could be a clue - go to your commanders report air tab for airgroups and filter to see which recon airgroups you do have.

If you use the recon filter at the bottom of the page it will give you whatever type of aircraft they use.

Probably the one you will most likely see and want is "SB-2 Rcn" - note without the Rcn at the end it is not a recon plane. But filtering for recon planes in general and not one particular type should be your first step.
