Yes, you can criticize a dev, and then you find out he or someone in his family had cancer or something, God forbid.

As I've said ad nausea, throwing together a free scenario or two in a patch, or making text modding a bit easier would have helped keep this game in the spotlight. I was not expecting a polished map editor. But Matrix and the dev did nothing. And yet they are moving on to another venue? Doesn't sit right with me.

But again, at 50% off grab that game and give the devs some cash flow!

Where is this 50% sale?

All I can see is mention of one that happened last summer. Or am I missing something?

Its a very hard (to me anyway) game to get a grip of
It lacks a decent tutorial or a walkthrough of some description
If it had that then it would get good revues
Well it probably would from me anyway as i have had it a long while and cant seem to get my head around it
I want very mush to play it

The Matrix store doesn't indicate any discount on Brother Against Brother. It is priced at $49.99 U.S. Same at Slitherine.

I checked Steam and the game isn't even sold there.

Hey Yogi, which one (I think they made three like once each decade starting in the 60s). My favorite was the one with three games in one (more or less). I really liked shaping the brigades.

Memory is on short order with me but it seems many developers who covered Civil War battles started with Gettysburg (because it generates sales) then when to the bull runs, Wilson Creek, etc. This bunch appeared to want to do it in chronological order. I've played just a few scenarios now - they seem to have done a good job. They fooled me once, though! In Wilson Creek, playing as the Union, I got a message saying the CSA morale was too low and they could no longer fight. I thought that meant they retreated from the field and I had a decisive victory but - draw! I guess the idea is to continue until you actually take the locations - but they can and do continue to fight.

It could use better maps, though for elevation differences - perhaps color coded.

The Original, no hexes as game was divided with "squares" interesting too was that you could angle your unit in that square for facing reasons. I had a later AH Gettysburg (full color beautiful map)as well a number of years later.

As for BAB glad you like it, I know all the complainers mainly tutorial gripes and developers should have been more available but this is a special game with more realism than most civil games out there. Keep hoping they may some day make some more as they ad planned. Sure as usual as with most games some improvements would be helpful. The original plan was to cover the whole war with selected battles going in chronological order. If they do make more now they would probably choose battles as others have done in a more which might sell well order.

Morale is a very big factor in this game and for Bull Run extremely hard for the Union because of it.

Yogi
Get off your high horse
I'm one of those who have a gripe
And I will say for ever if it had a tutorial or walk through I would more than likely like the game
But as it is I would suggest to anyone thinking of buying it DON'T
And the devs never ever respond to you on the forums
If you don't believe me look at the forum for the game
That should make your mind up with the lack of action on the forum

Don't ride horses but if I did it wouldn't be as high a horse as you have anyway. [;)]

Actually bazak this is nothing but a different opinion of the game. You are welcome not to like it, I know of no game that everyone loves. I also posted I understood the complaints and that the developers should have been more available. But beyond that I appreciate the good things about the game and that is as proper to post as posting how bad you think the game is.

Really sad that the developers will never know how many sales they've lost in the long run. Saying hello 'once in while' might have been cost effective.

...because I like the game I will probably buy the next (if they make one) but I've given up on the idea of any sort of continued support. They did the same with Conflict of Heroes.

CoH has a good editor, got up to version 1.42 and released a nice DLC. I can't believe BvsB came from the same dev team. [&:]
