Wargamer Preview

Post by WargamerJoe »

And here's that preview for Wargamer.com that I talked about on another thread.

https://www.wargamer.com/articles/close-combat-bloody-first-pc-preview/

tl;dr - it's good, but there are teething issues that the move to 3D has given rise too. It'll take some getting used to, that's for sure, but CC's future looks promising.

THank you, Wargamer Joe, Looks promising. I been waiting for this CC game for some time, not bc of the new engine, even through that's a plus, but I love the History of the North Africa Campaign in WW2, so thank you for sharing.

If anyone is interested, here's the (work in progress) scenario list for The Bloody First that we published today: https://www.wargamer.com/articles/close-combat-the-bloody-first-scenarios-ww2-war-game/

Please note it is subject to change because the game is still very early, but hopefully it'll still be of interest.

the problem with very early alpha previews is for me, it can give the wrong impression and also alter peoples mind set on a given part, lets say for instance that i given question gets a given reply, and 20 members agree with it?

and then it's dropped, pre beta?

does that make the finished game, worst or better?

what if 100 reply and state they don't like a given part, is this then enough to stop progress on a given item and change it, because 100 didn't like the alpha direction?

for me it open's a can of worms and isn't something i like, but as it's not my call, also it's not my worry either.

if you wish to add something to a given game direction, join a alpha program, if you wish to be apart of or voice a given opinion and are willing to test and give feedback, join the beta, but if you just wish to sit back and look and then comment on a given part or subject, without seeing the whole picture, then that's another answer altogether and not something i would reply to either[:(]

I agree. At my opinion, they should not had let this preview.

Why not? by the same reason that I can not speak about the alpha/beta.
