MOD with better art files

I have seen a megathread about this subject but my questions are as followed;

1. Is it correct that there are no such mod's in the steam modding community?
2. Is there a problem if you install these art mods's and your human opponent in pbem does not?
3. Is there an easy walkthrough somewhere how to install these art mod's since I am not much of an expert
in downloading and installing stuff on my computer?

3. No "easy walkthroughs" ... better to work hand in hand with a player/opponent who has some experience with winrar, zip files, back-ups, and copying-moving content into & out of the game DAT files.

Most popular mods seem to be for the map and user interface. Tricky part requires you to install Jison's September mods first. Chemkid's Rainy day art are desigened to modify the September mods, not the original graphic files.

There are other mods available on different sites on the net, but many of sites built 2010-2013 are no longer accessible. Most reside in third party archives (Media Fire, Dropbox, etc.)
