Thank you for sharing. [:)]

Although I do not see any fun angle here. Sad, maybe. [:(]

Perhaps one will permit me to make the case for an opposite - though appropriately considered - viewpoint?

Football is a cobblers game [:(].

Did you miss the original story one month ago?

A we wuz robbed parody. And this is how they (or he, the owner of the club, as per the original) committed robbery.

Besides, maybe you don't know I was talking about a match, played the day before. Real Madrid vs Juventus. Champions League.

The owner is invading the pitch with a gun to convince the referee that was indeed a penalty. He better admits it... or else.

First time I saw the picture I could not find the gun. I'm pretty sure any random American finds it pretty quickly [:D]

Nah, many are predicting doom and chaos but I suspect uncle Vlad will not allow the hooliganesque clowns to destroy his World Cup. And besides, he's got huge and empty Siberia. Winters are lovely, I hope the drunk hooligans [both the native Spetsnaz type and the foreign bald and fat type aka western spionen] thoroughly enjoy it

No, I didn't miss the original story.

I just failed to see the comedy in it.

Thank you for explaining it.

It is unfair... all that years of hard work training in Siberia killing bears in hand to claw combats and vodka VS vodka fights wasted... even i invest in diaper/nappy companies thinking in our brave "hooligans without borders" to dont irritate their skin [:D]

I think we are going to miss the best part of the World Cup, if in South Africa were bubuzelas the rusian hooligan VS spetsnatz for me be the "exotic" touch the competition needs [:'(]

But we talk about the sport of gentlemen... well, in Rusia is the sport of gentleBear at least in rusian 3rd division i really pay to see a Rusia VS Germany match with that opening for the game [&o]

You mean football. I hope you're wrong. As long as bus parking trolling is absent it'll be ok.

Do you usually accuse without proof? I mean, witnesses, documents. But if you know someone will be committing a crime, go to your nearest police station and show them your proof.

Either you have that proof or you're Nostradamus.

Is that a joke or something?

"This was their (Spurs) eighth successive FA Cup semi-final defeat, the longest sequence of losses in the history
of the competition and stretching back to the victory over Arsenal at the old Wembley in 1991." (https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/43762296)

Dear Warspite, I feel for you. No football team deserves such a fate.
I truly hope that someday Tottenham will mightily strike back. In the Premier League as in the Cup competitions as well.
Go Spurs.

As one footie fan to another, thank-you for the condolences.

It's tough but I must admit its easier to take now than it was back in the day. One just needs to be realistic.

End of the day that is 8 cup semi-finals. We should have won 1 against rubbish opposition - no excuses, we got what we deserved for not turning up.

We were unlucky - ridiculously unlucky - in another 2

The remaining 5 we got what we deserved either because we didn't turn up (but we weren't expected to win anyway) or we simply stunk the place out.

I've been on this planet over 50 years and never seen my team win a championship. I have to accept that its perfectly possible I'll never see them win another trophy... but they're my team and once one nails their colours to a mast then one should stay there (unlike some clubs 'fans' I could name....[:@])

Braintree have not won any FA Cup semi-finals in 120 years. We prefer to concentrate on the league.

Best wishes,

Good News:-

National League South Play-off Semi-Final:

Chelmsford 0 Hampton & Richmond 1

I feel so sorry for Chelmsford... they must be sick as parrots... I can hardly console myself... but I will try... [:D]

Even Better News:-

National League South Play-off Semi-Final:

Dartford 0 Braintree 1 [&o]

Totally outrageous! Dartford, who came within a minute of winning the league, suffer the agony and disappointment of losing at home to Braintree in the second semi-final. Actually, we've been Dartford's bogey team for the past few years...

Breaking news from the Braintree Town Supporter's Club HQ:- Billy Crook has been confirmed as God [&o]. Arch-Angel Brad Quinton [&o] is said to be "quite pleased" at the result.

The Promotion Final is next Sunday, Hampton & Richmond v Braintree.

Braintree fans were very happy with the win at Dartford but when news came through about the Chelmsford result ... well... gloating is so unseemly... [:-]

Best wishes,
Steve

Braintree Town's season comes to a close today with the National League South Play-off Final...and promotion to the National League is the prize.

Hampton & Richmond v Braintree

Irrespective of the result, Braintree have had a good season. This time last year we had no management team, no backroom staff, and no players.

Good luck to both teams.

Best wishes,
Steve
