Question about ship size limit and Construction ships

Question about ship size limit and Construction ships

So, in game I have ship size limited to 300 (with the first tech that improves ship size, can't remember the name), but construction ships can be way bigger? ( mine are about 450). Do construction ships not adhere to the size limit? Thanks

Construction ships are mobile construction yards and as such are considered to be mobile bases rather than ships. As such their maximum size is limited by the maximum base size rather than the maximum ship size.
