Seeing this band next week so having a little listen to get in the mood. This is possibly their best track. Absolutely brilliant all the way through and then we get to the last 60 seconds and a fantastic record moves into another sphere....

I am not getting it. Sorry. [:(]

Maybe I am just in the wrong mood for this song. I'll try it again another day.

Here's a song I have championed on many occasions - and this is the orchestral version. Every.bit.as.good.

If it were ever possible to choose a favourite song - just one song from all the millions of pieces of music ever made - then this one would have to be a contender. The voice and the orchestral accompaniment take what is a fine song (by the likes of Celine Dion) to another level. But the absolute killer - the hairs standing up on the back of one's neck moment - is the brass section at around 3:00 onwards. B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. [&o]

I found my old CD with the soundtrack of "1492: Conquest of Paradise", by Vangelis. The music was derided back then as "new age choirs". Today, every single track has been used multiple times in commercials, TV shows, sports and even other movies (a particular track has been re-used by Michael Mann in "Collateral" and, IIRC, the dire "Miami Vice" movie).

Edit: Check it out: the possibility that you will recognise some tracks without knowing that they were from here is high.

Random but good tracks from videogames' OST: Hans Zimmer from "Modern Warfare 2", Jack Wall from "Myst IV" and "Mass Effect 2", etc.
