It is my experience that Sys damage can't reach 100. I documented this at some point or other. I had several cruisers in a port being bombed daily or almost daily, but the puny Japanese AP bombs couldn't punch through the armor so as long as fires didn't reach 100 they wouldn't sink.
You mean in a port, right? Good to know. At sea I know if sys damage goes above 99 the ship sinks so you never see a display with sys 100.

But Tracker will tell you what sunk the ship - the damage that sank the ship may be hidden in-game, but it's visible in Tracker.

I've got tons that went up to 99. Most of them hit 100 flooding, but a few hit 100 fire.

And yes, in a port... but I don't think you could hit 100 Sys at sea, either. I'm 99% certain there's a hard cap at 99.

Ouch. almost 150 planes lost in a day against about 40? ... that hurts, bad ... I hate to say it, but this looks too much like one of my games ... my 2E's get through the CAP and don't hit anything ....

I think I see a silver lining.[;)]

When you have a chance ... please share. I have yet to find that silver lining ... [:(]

yeah, agreed
I am envisioning flocks of japanese planes piloted with tiny squinting babies in diapers, one single toothed snarl as they fly, rattle in hand, to their demise.

as a guess:
1. It has stopped snowing.
2. The silver lining is actually the glint of the monitor light on the rim of a whiskey glass.
3. He is looking ahead, in talks with a new opponent, and finally gets a 'normal' game in the next one.

But I have been surprised before by your tenacity.

ABDA fleet steams safely into Manila and is quiet for the day. A sweep next to Manila doesn't catch any bleeding CAP.

Put some ships into Kuantan under 40 planes CAP, and out of the 400 fighters at Singers, 80 escort some dive bombers in...2 DD and an AMC lost.

Lets thin the herd, shall we. Battleship SAG guarding the runway, some cargo ships bringing in supply and plenty of planes overhead flying protection.

Back in the afternoon for more...downed around 50 carrier planes for not a single loss although a few dive bombers get thru in the morning and scored a hit on two cargo ships. A price worth paying.

A similar trap over Kuantan can't entice any ABDA strikes.

I still don't understand, why and how we receive info about the numbers and type of airplanes on the carriers...

Shoho finishes pumping out her counterflooding, and now the work begins on repairing her systems. 250 repair points need per day, and the 5th Fleet arrives by train from Cam Ranh Bay to join with other naval support units presence to speed the repairs.

This is I-9 Iboat...she plowed into a mine rescuing pilots from a sweep mission.

I am trying to save her, and you can see the odd up arrows this past turn in tracker.

I have never had as damaging a bombardment as Japan with any amount of ships. Runway closed.

ABDA CV fleet and consorts steams from north west of Luzon to here. Looks like an amphibious landing of Miri will take place.

Downed a few Fulmars of Jesselton. Lost 16 planes to the bombardment. Allied fighter strength: 350 at Singers, 125 north of Singers, 90 in the Kuriles, 120 at Kunming, 115 on the ABDA Fleet. Over 200 Allied units in Malaya.

The silver lining is that Lowpe is guaranteed to have kamikaze activation from 1 January 1944. Between now and then he won't have sleepless nights wondering if his opponent will trigger kamikaze activation.
