Unit stuck in cyberspace when liberation

I think this is a new bug. None of the newer patches seem to deal with it.

A Japanese unit was sent to Madagascar after being aligned. The allies re-took the capital, and the Madagascar was liberated. The following turn, the Japanese unit in Madagascar is on a Free French hex, and is not selectable for anything (was hoping to move to Diego Suarez). Game file attached.

This is strange. A japanese unit is sitting in Madagascar in a Free French controlled hex. It looks like a bug due to liberation. Any chance of an autosave from just before that phase?

That's indeed where the bug is. The transfer from Vichy to Free France during liberation is the culprit here.

I've changed hex control using debug tools for you. I've included a corrected gamesave for you as an attachment, so you can proceed.

It seems that there are several problems with the Vichy/Free France dynamics. It might be worthwhile for Steve to have a holistic look at.
