Game will not start

A bid annoyed this morning. Deleted and re-installed the game last evening. It worked fine but this morning it refuse to start [&:]

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just attach it to your post with first adding the file to a zip, which is then permitted to attach to the forum

and double check your firewall and anti virus logs to see if a given program has stopped a given game file from running

I also am having the same issue. Game worked fine yesterday, this morning it goes to splash screen with globe and freezes. If I hit escape I can click on map settings etc, but it won't open game options (to reset windows) and if I try the load command under the file tab it freezes completely. I am using Steam and last evening did install CMNAO on a separate machine. Steam of course refers support to the game developer...

Can you try deleting the file \Config\Command.ini and restarting the game?

That did the trick! Thanks. Any general ideas what caused it or how to avoid in the future?

If you frequently add/remove a second monitor (e.g. on a laptop), the "Start" window may have been left over on the "other" monitor (window positions and dimensions are saved to the ini file so that you don't have to set up your preferred layout every time you start the game).
