Build Limits and AI

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Build Limits and AI

Post by magic87966 »

When playing against the AI, is it generally considered more or less challenging for the human player if the AI has soft build limits? Does the AI know how to handle soft builds?

I can't speak on the challenging aspect, others that have played with it on or off will likely have a better answer, but the AI does understand soft build limits and will build accordingly and if it can, i.e. provided the funds are there etc.

Soft builds means no limit on the # of units the AI can build?
If you get overrun by JS tanks it could be ugly.
For more AI power, I found cranking up their MPP in the game start options makes the AI quite ruthless and overwhelming if that is what you desire. I know cause I received several unpleasant beatings from the AI.
Another way to make the game harder is to set part of your team on AI control like I play Axis with Italy on AI control. To do it, click on the Italy icon in the starting side selection so it has a blue outline around the Italian flag to turn on AI control. In a coming game, I will try the allies with the AI controlling Russia and give the Axis a MPP boost.
