Hot Patch Version 02.08.04.00

Post by Shannon V. OKeets »

Attached is a zipped file that contains the new MWIF.exe: version 02.08.04.00. It also contains the Release Notes shown below.

The reason for this hot patch is to fix problem #1 described below.

=========

Release Notes for Version 02.08.04.00

All Modes of Play

1. Fixed a newly created problem with ending the last air-to-air combat. This problem probably only occurred when no air units remained on either side for the final air-to-air combat, and one of the air units had just been aborted

NetPlay

2. Fixed a problem with a Warlord remaining in the Destroyed Pool after China Surrenders.

3. Fixed a problem with China not be marked as completed conquered on both computers after it Surrenders.

When downloading hot patches, do we have to download all of them or just the most recent one?

As long as you are at a version greater than 2.3.4, you can just download the hotpatch and then when unzipped to the game folder, it will overwrite your EXE.

Recommend you back up your existing EXE in case you have to back up to a previous version.

So I just download the most recent one and not all the previous ones?

As long as you've already got 2.3.4 or higher, yes...

You can see your existing version number at the top left of the splash screen once you launch the game.

Not really.

I am working on a few NetPlay bugs that I want to have cleaned up before making a public beta available.

The real problem I have now is that all the remaining bugs are really hard to fix.[:@] The easier ones to fix have all been corrected. It is sort of like pistachio nuts. The last ones in the bowl are very difficult to open.[;)]
