To the experts on India, where is the "Emergency Reinforcements" trigger row?

The line is one hex south of Delhi and runs through Ahmedabad. I'm not sure if entering that row triggers the reinforcements or if he must go beyond it.

I have 40th and 41st ID arriving at Cape Town in about two weeks. I should have enough PP to buy one division. The question is how safe the waters will be to get it to India?

If you are using extended map it could be useful if you could get some troops to the bases between Aden and Karachi for search capability.

He will blockade the area but you should likely expect an invasion of Ceylon previous to that.

Blockade could happen in early February given his track record.

I know from a previous game that the line in Australia is one below Brisbane.
My opponent had units move into that row farther inland accidentally and it triggered them without him realizing it.

He just landed on Ceylon. I've got the destroyed LCUs from Singapore coming in at Aden, so a few will go to the bases way up north.
The 'big' question for me is how far in will he go?
Thankfully, only a few small ships are left around India and the "whole' British Fleet at Bombay.

You have to assume all the way dont you?

Ceylon and Madras are likely gone. A big question is how much do you put in Calcutta to prevent it from falling if any?

India is a tough nut to crack. It sounds like you have a good strategic advantage with the Burma troops.

42 Feb 9: No China

To say that China has been a minor disaster would be an understatement. [:@] [:(]
Nathan (njp72) came from due east of Sian along the trail with every tank and armor unit he had up here and Manchuria.
I've had whole Corps destroyed and the survivors of Sian would have been better off being destroyed.
Nathan loves, loves to shock attack everywhere and with high percentage of disabled squads, the number destroyed has been huge.
I feel this theater is lost in less than two months.
However, I'll fight to the bitter end.

42 Feb 9: So China

With the fall of Pingsiang on Jan 19th, the whole greater Changsha area was threatened. He tried to send forces to capture Kukong, but didn't. Now, the two stacks are recombined to south of Hengyang. I've lost so many LCUs and I have a few that need months to recover disabled squads that i feel I need to continue to retreat and may not leave any troops in Chnagsha. Advice?

No Australia - I was wondering how much further he would go, but with India now the seemingly primary objective this theater seems quiet.

Hawaii - Hindsight says this was just major saber rattling to get me focused on Eastern Pacific rather than India. I've learned to prepare for possible India invasion in every game as Allies. He didn't land on the big island with much and it took weeks to get AF from 1 to 2. I do have 2nd Marines and other LCUs prepping for Hilo

42 Feb 10 & 11: China & India still in headlines

Bases:
Lost - Vizagapatnam, Cocanada, Trincomalee, Toungoo, Zamboanga, Hengyang

Subs:
I-158 sink xAKL off Trivandrum
KXI get TT hit on xAK at Madras

I saw this coming, but remained in another clear hex to get slaughter. [:(]
This is another example of how I've poor handled my defense of China.
Nathan has small stacks that find mine.
He bombs from air relentlessly and then shock attacks.

I've order the troops out of hex as of 10th.
However, Allied players know the Indian divisions are way under strength and have very poor experience levels in early '42.

Philippines:
11th -
Ground combat at Cagayan (79,89)

Japanese Bombardment attack

Attacking force 7134 troops, 32 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 188

Mindanao Force
5th Base Group

Mindanao is the target while Luzon remains enemy free.

Notes:
There are now 6 full divisions, assault division, and two regiments in Ceylon & India. I expect more as many of 'free at start' divisions are still unaccounted for. I've stepped up prep for long term siege at Bombay (stockpiling and shipping in supplies).

Nathan complains that expect for China, he is behind schedule.

Torpedo hits always seem to get "heavy damage" assessments, and then get the ship put on the sunk list. Without secondary explosions and fires I give Hiryu about 50/50 odds of limping back to the DEI/Singapore.

Don't forget that the Chinese will respawn with a healthy number of replacements. I try to counter attack and move east when at all possible to screw with the IJ time tables with
heavily damaged formations. They seem to forage fine and sometimes you get lucky with how far they can go. Just saying, the Chinese theater is easy to leave for last as it can
get boring, but the war is completely different for me than anywhere else on the map. Experiment. I just had a bunch of Nates sweep a town capped by one bi-plane. My asian
aviator scored a kill and escaped. There is fun to be had.

SST - I have three subs upgrading/converting from SS to SST at Pearl. To transport troops, they have to be in Combat or Strat Mode?? Can I form them as one TF or do I need three separate TF?
