Tank Battle Bundle You can´t beat the price!

https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/tank-battle-dollar-bundle
Looks like tactical scale. Is it as good as Steel Panthers, Battle Academy, or any of the John Tiller games?
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

I've got Tank Battles 1944 (one of the bundle) - the closest match for the games you named would be Battle Academy. Battle Academy is probably the more sophisticated game with more options. The game play is similar in style but to be honest when you have Stuart tanks taking down Tigers -well it's not really a grognards game. However, the games are fun time killers and at $1 for a bundle Red2112 is right - you really can't beat it price wise. The games retail on Steam for about $USD7-10.

I have read that Finnish Ground Forces (or Finnish Army as Wikipedia calls it) has taken out KV tanks with Vickers E. I read it from a novel, so don't take my word on it. (Also KVs in the story were parked and unmanned)

The problem with Tank Battles is that the maps are way too cramped to allow for employment of good maneuvers, the units are too big compared to the buildings (ruins immersion) , the unit facing and flanking rules leave a lot to be desired.

Good news is that they are coming out with a new Armor battles engine in several months.

I enjoy the Ancients and Civil War games available now from HexWar a bit more than Tank Battles - some of them are based on some gold old SPI / GMT / Decision Games board games.

My favorite however is Command and Colors - The Great War. Nice feel, fun cards, good set of maps - if you can get it on sale - grab it !

I have a feeling that both bundles are port-overs from iPad, so some limitation is bound to be found.

There was bundle that included 1775: Rebellion for PC but forgot where I saw it. It´s probably over now, but that´s another boardgame port to PC by Academy Games and Hexwar.

Focus Home Interactive sale:

Iam really enjoying "The Surge". Great combat feeling to it. Bought it in another sale though, not this one. "Etherium" for thr price is cool too, or any of the "Wargame" modules.

This is from the Steam comments section -- NOTE: To play this game properly, you need the "Old Unreal Patch". This unlocks stuff like Full HD resolution and a few more graphics settings.
