Korsun Pocket in NYC

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Korsun Pocket in NYC

Post by LyleGorch »

Friends,

I picked up my copy at CompUsa in Manhattan (57th/B'way) this afternoon, and they had plenty of copies left on the shelves. I think the store on Queens Boulevard also has it ready for sale. We need to make KP a best-seller so that "Kursk," "Normandy," "Bagration," and a few more titles will follow.

One nit to pick with the printed player's guide (I read it on the subway ride home) -- units "snuggling?" into entrenchments. "Hey, Ivan -- I'm going to snuggle in now, so lay off the Katyusha's, will ya?"

A long, enjoyable night lies ahead -- Thanks Matrix!

The Mighty O's are on the comeback trail. Albert Belle and Scott Erickson contracts end this season. We should have 60 million to spend on free agents. Soon, a Bosox 11-2 loss to the O's will not be a surprise.

During open dialogue, an analogy with the question of “is the glass half empty or half full” comes to mind. In reality it is only a glass of water. Do not let the dialogue get off track with unsupported conclusions.

Friends.

Is anyone having trouble with the screen size/resolution of KP? I can barely nmake out the units, map details, etc. and I can't seem to get a larger screen. My monitor is probably the problem, but I remember playing TAO2 without this problem, and I thought KP would look just the same.

Thanks

PS -- The Mets, is that the hockey team???
