Home work was kind of all encompassing....Let's see...there's the wife's little projects, the job requirements, and
uh, yes, more work in the "manual"....[X(]

ps. Golf clap everybody, Zulu wins the club open tourney over the weekend. The really good part is, it was
the only time it was not raining, got to let wife's stuff "slide".[;)]
I don't play. I'm so bad at golf I give the game a bad name just by watching it.
SO! You are the reason that golf spelled backward is flog! [:D]

Curious to your thoughts.

If the KB is essentially moving to the Coral Sea...

It would appear the Surface TF and Subs around Columbo / Karachi / Western India are perhaps mearly raiders and spoilers ?

Early days I realize but can you account for any 'mini KB' in the Indian Ocean ?

Lots of Naval Search Coverage out of Calcutta / Chittatong / Madras etc?

I do not consider it certain KB1 is moving to the Coral Sea. Looking at my search coverage it is possible KB1 pulled back to the NW or even moved S into the Gulf of Carpentaria, hence realigning search. Of course we all know they could already be in the Coral Sea and were simply missed by search!

It would appear the Surface TF and Subs around Columbo / Karachi / Western India are perhaps mearly raiders and spoilers ?
I think so; good search assets in that theater are too few. I have a couple of short-ranged subs patrolling the gap between search from Diego Garcia and the map edge but they are less reliable than air search.

Early days I realize but can you account for any 'mini KB' in the Indian Ocean ?
Not at all. Actual sightings of carriers I am reporting every turn. When I REALLY think I know where a carrier group is I report that too provided it is in some threatening position. Guesses I don't much bother writing, but in this case I don't even have a guess. There was a small carrier group in the western Java Sea a while back which could be anywhere by now.

Lots of Naval Search Coverage out of Calcutta / Chittatong / Madras etc?
None. I had a Catalina Sqn operating from Diamond Harbour (near Calcutta) when I had unaccounted for sightings of aircraft west of the tip of India. Given the porous search coverage those could have been from carriers which slipped in undetected, so I moved that Catalina Sqn from Diamond Barbour to that area.

From Diamond Harbour the approach skirting around the Bay of Bengal to avoid presumed Allied search coverage was itself covered. Once moved the two destroyers could have moved around the perimeter of the Bay to a position near Trincomalee then sprinted to the attack. I don't know if that's what they did but it is one possible route. They could also have come by the map edge or simply sailed through search coverage during a day of bad weather then sprinted.

• It's possible the invasion of bases on Timor was backed up by KB1 holding beyond our search range and the appearance of KB1 near Horn Island was either out of frustration at our lack of response or itself in response to some Intel.

• Our fliers continue striking and their numbers continue shrinking.

China
• The two Imperial infiltrators SW of Ankang (1st Ind.Mixed Brigade, 61st Infantry Brigade) have begun moving westward toward a prepared position with one infantry unit. Three artillery units were already on the way and two undead infantry units which were prepositioned are now responding.

India, Burma, Thailand, Indochina
• Enemy sub activity near Karachi.

• The pipeline between Abadan and Karachi is now empty. Ships are conducting minor repairs before setting out with at least minimal escort. The surviving escorts from Colombo (the two groups which were patrolling at sea) and those from Bombay are in port at Bombay to upgrade and repair.

• A third Chinese Army unit has made it to Ledo and will take replacements as fast as possible (Rest mode) and upgrade their artillery.

Japan, Korea, Manchuria, Russia

I used the homonym so that you could apply it in game. Thus the mention of CV, although LBA might eliminate some red spots too!

Judging by your bonus strategic map, I think he is behind schedule or has a dastardly plan about to unfold. I understand taking ones time
in the PI but not by ignoring Australia and India at this point. I would hazard a guess you are facing some sort of incursion in the India area
but it is only conjecture based on his apparent lack of interest in Australia proper. He has to assume the place you would be strongest now
would be SoPac and SwPac in so far as US dispositions are concerned. Two tin pennies from the peanut gallery.

It looks as though the IJN is covering for a pickup of troops at Port Moresby, which makes sense coupled with the recent SigInt about 4th Division preparing for an assault on Horn Island.
