Operation Cartwheel

Post by liaemars »

I can't understand why the people on the Order of Battle series keep making Eastern Front DLC's as it's been covered in many great games before. I wish they would go back to their roots in the Pacific and build an Operation Cartwheel DLC! All the big sea and air battles that happened during that operation. MacArthur in New Guinea and Halsey in the Solomons. The night battles at sea alone would be great! Right in Ironbottom sound. Wish they would listen to everyday users but they don't.

War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition has Operation Cartwheel as one of its scenarios. The learning curve for this game is steep. I mean really steep, but it should provide the detail you are looking for. Check it out!

That is large caliber monster game all right. Some jokers around here say it is the best game for beginners, but I don't dare to touch it with a long stick.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

It's not for beginners [:-]

It is, if you're into that type of game, the best deal per hour played of any game I am aware of.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Poblem is, before this game was made, no equivalent (and I mean the monster thing) existed [:D] Ergo per definition the lot of us who bought this thing were necessarily "beginners"

I agree the "best" part is trolling for the sake of er trolling.

I read a quote about WITP once that went: "By the time you realize the AI is dumb as a post you will have spent more hours playing the game than any other you've ever played."
