I would not spend precious PP to reorganize the Chinese. Once fighting stabilizes you can slowly take time to move single units here and there to the place their War Area HQ is, or, if it is more efficient, move the War Area HQ to where most of its sub-unit are and then start moving out the units that do not belong there.
I did this over the period of about a year and a half and still was able to conduct operations with the units best-aligned with their HQs.

But you seem to be able to be more aggressive in this mod so my suggestion might not fit your plans.

Sound advices. Appreciated.

To be honest I'm genuinely surprised. The Chinese managed to dislodge (because that's what they did) the enemy, and two days in a row, but this was not part of the plan. Not even close.

I will soon disclose the full "strategy" I am planning.

We are testing Sid's mod after all and I will try to do my best to trash everything that moves

Kik, I like what you're doing in China. Keep up the good work. Bill, the strategy you're using on the Philippines is cool. I never would if though of it....GP

But you seem to be able to be more aggressive in this mod so my suggestion might not fit your plans.

Supplies are the key. As I said previously, China has lot of supplies, as per the screenshot on the first page. 1,7 milllion in Chungking by may '42 [X(] I won't say this is right or wrong because I don't know the consequences.

So far my analysis is that the first trashing was entirely Sid's fault (nobody is perfect; let's not forget the good laughs, that's why I play). He should not have attacked one Chinese corps (+ he knew a second unit was coming) with one regiment.

The second case is more interesting. Two Chinese Corps vs one brigade in the open. I would deduce the country is not the safest place unless you move in force. The conclusion is that he might need to be more cautious.

But you are correct I think, Sid apparently made agressive play a rational choice.

I was supposed to be the NEI, Philipines, SWP Boss-in-Chief (Bill's job) But I asked to swap commands (m10bob was the original China commander but he had to quit).

I was convinced that an agressive, hilarious style (à la WitE) was now possible with all these amount of supplies and the many many counters (Sid added like thirty or forty Guerrilla regiments to the Chinese OOB). So I wanted to try. Time will tell if I'm right or wrong = RHS might need some tuning or not.

14/12/41, North and Northeast of PH. It looks like the KB is now 3 smaller KB's. The TF circled in red is heading west and indicates aircraft are present. The TF circled in black is heading east. This TF has an AO present based on a sub contact. No indication of aircraft. The TF circled in yellow is heading southeast and is a problem. I have TF's moving to Pearl and Xmas Island which I will set for San Diego and safe harbor. Another TF which is moving to Fiji will stay at San Diego until the all clear is sounded. I figure 4 to 6 days until he heads for home....GP

1.7 million supply is enough to fill out maybe 5% of the Chinese Corps! Or feed them for six months. [:D]

Malaya

All I want here is to simply buy time.

I did not think I could extricate two brigades of the 11st division in Alor Star but somehow they managed to get in time to Georgetown (= relative safety). I did not think I could mount the first barricade here but I will. In fact Sid's weak vanguard attacked when the two brigades arrived. The units already there might have held but extra cannon fodder helped. I have maybe one week until the bulk of his lethal hordes arrive. A small stack will arrive before but I think I can hold.

Now -just for the lulz- I order a deliberate attack to dislodge Sid's vanguard. What I don't know is if the small enemy stack will arrive in time to help the poor souls I plan to trash The war dogs demand blood eh.

I will soon mention the tribulations of you know who.

China

1) The primary objective in China is = survive. Nothing less nothing more.
2) The secondary objective is = attract as many enemy units as the "mighty" Chinese can absorb aka I want Sid to divert hordes to this theatre.

The two unexpected blows (enemy forced to retreat twice or targets of opportunity) might help 2). And if it doesn't, terrorising the opponent is always a good strategy. Good for the lulz too.

This is going to be an endless story of infiltration + surrounding. I'm not really trying to isolate + kill (unless he is utterly incompetent, and I always assume an opponent is competent). What I want is to stop him from concentrating his forces (which are obviously superior). In theory, if I threaten to encircle he will need to react, -hopefully- to disperse his forces.

Until we get to some status quo
1) I can't infiltrate anymore
2) he can't concentrate his forces

Everyone is happy. Or not...

The Air force: Brian aka Nimitz confirmed that I would be getting the US 51st Fighter Group three squadrons (+ the AVG + the Chinese). Very helpful (+ 7th Bomber Group). He bombs my land units = I bomb his land units.

Well, if the 62 men were a police force, acting in a dispersed manner in pairs of two, than yes. As an army unit though...

Sorry. Got involved in stuff. 29/12/41. Well, quick update. The enemy has secured the Aleutian islands up to Dutch Harbor. I have Saratoga and Lexington patrolling just east of Dutch Harbor. Troops and aircraft are on the way to the SoPac area. The SLOC is secure at the moment. That's all for now....GP

Update, We have restarted as Bill discovered some problems with the City Bombing filter. Plus there were other fixes that were done. Turn 1 was a bust for the IJN at PH. Only the airfields were hit. That's right, NO ships were hit. Question now is will the KB try for another strike.

Bill has decided to leave the team so if anyone is interested in his spot, email me....GP
