Update 1.14 - Error refusing to update

I attempted to update to 1.14, but I received an error message saying it couldn't and that I should contact you guys. It's very frustrating when you're in the middle of a PBEM game.

have you checked your anti virus logs to see if that stopped the update?

did you download it to a desktop folder or run it from somewhere else, as the desktop doesn't always have the correct permissions.

site version or steam?

Well, it corrected itself somehow and installed the update. Now I have to wait for opponent to update at his end so we can continue the game.

I get "Error: Update information for Strategic Command WWII - War in Europe could not be downloaded. Please contact ...". I've gotten this before with previous updates and ended up reinstalling the game to get past it.

Is it possible that this is just due to server being busy?

Nevermind. I had that problem when using the "check for upates" button launcher menu. When I downloaded the update.zip from the support link on the website it installed fine.
