RE: CSV Ian is NLF and larry is Allied

I've been reviewing the condition of the aircraft and there's a lot of them yellow this turn, about a third of them, and the inventory tells other bad news. I'm already through half the Cobra's that were in the inventory. I'm wondering if we can even continue the scenario this way.

Turn 14

Heavy bombardment of the 308th and 312th NVA Divisions in the West of Quang Tri province continues and two interesting pieces of news filter through....

First that the rapid US military build up continues as Larry calls in 3rd Marine Division, apparently going for an early knockout win....this is not universally popular on Main St USA however and apparently protest matches have begun in Washington according to the news string....excellent ! [:)]

More regular NVA troops arrive near the DMZ and VC reserves continue to build on the trail awaiting the first major offensive...

Once again the US and ARVN Rangers surround and destroy a couple of weak VC battalions but in three provinces closest to Cambodia VC presence is finally starting to grow enough so disbandment before the end of a turn is always essential...

It remains to be seen where the 3rd Marine Division will be deployed....will Larry try and clamp down on these border provinces or is he intent on smashing NVA presence in Quang Tri....?

I've been at this about 14 months now and the EEV is already up to 33. I've got to pace myself better I think. I don't remember being a protester in January of 1967, in fact I went into the air force almost right out of high school so I didn't really have time to turn into a protester and actually acted the opposite of what a protester would do.

I did an airstrike on the Mig-17's that were based in the Hanoi area and killed them all but lost a boat-load of planes for all my trouble. Plus, I got accused of bombing NVN. So I guess I won't do that again real soon.

The aircraft losses with each strike is still an issue with me. I'm thinking of advocating for a change and a restart.

I sent the MACV engineers south off the road to check out a potential enemy location and sure enough there was somebody there. So I sent the brown-water boats to back up the engineers and now I need some other units to get a surround on this guy.

I sent some engineers to fix a broken bridge and they found the culprit that droped it. I'm putting together a TF to deal with it and I've got some aircraft on this case already. I'm hoping to kill this unit before it can drop more of my bridges.

I just pushed the button to execute the attacks and I got notification of a nuclear attack on the corner of the map. I had moved the carriers after I had assigned the aircraft on the carriers to attacks and thus the locations were 999,899 for the attack and I knew that wouldn't work so I got busy correcting all the attacks that were for the bogus location and I think I got them all but I may have missed one or more and THAT could perhaps be the cause of the nuclear attack. I can't remember assigning a nuclear attack myself.

I did a "close" and then chose "save and close" and the PBEM++ system wrote a file to my HD and I've zipped it up and attached it here below just in case the scenario designer wanted to take a look at the game so far. I see two nuclear attacks listed in the resolved battles screen and I didn't order them. I'm wondering about the scenario out loud.

I've decided to abandon this game because of all the wierdness going on. And the excessive aircraft losses.
