I was going to comment that all those "Heavy Radio Transmissions at Ominato" messages could indicate forces mustering for an invasion in the Aleutians, and here is one! But there could also be more coming.

Zulu, I have to compliment you on your maps - I really enjoy the format.

Thanks Dave. I am getting braver at revealing what's going on in real time. I got the new days turn
in last night and will post tonight. There are three TF in White Caps at present. Yorktown is spotted
10/10, Sara and Hornet are unspotted (I think, I'm at work) and the amphibious TF is 3/10. I think the
IJN positions (naval) are unchanged.

A very tough weekend. Tonight was supposed to be a small soiree for Rob and Maria to celebrate a long and successful marriage and Marias birthday.
It was to be an intimate affair, three couples whose children saw elementary school and college together in various combinations. A chance to talk
about our kids, our lives, and what the hell is going on in this country. Another asshole with a gun took Rob from us while he was working in his newsroom.
This has effected me deeply. Our children are in shock and the wives are scared sh-tless. Helpless. I only post this here to let everyone take a second for
Rob. He was a people guy. His interest was always the people over the event. He tirelessly sought the human element in every story. He would have
loved to talk to each and every one of you. You would have remembered him fondly for his true interest in you. Peace.

I hadn't dropped into your AAR in aeons consequently I've only just seen this post.

Often condolences can appear as merely a formulaic statement, bereft of any real empathy. So I won't risk that possibility. Instead I will just convey the information that here in Sydney (Australia) your Mayor was interviewed after the incident. The Mayor (Australian born but lived in the USA for 20+ years) spoke in glowing terms both of the victims and the efforts of the responders. Not a condolence but a tribute which although given after death, blurred the timeline to the point of it being a tribute to the living. A good way to remember the victims.

Alfred, exceptionally good to see you dropped by. I trust all is well with you. I appreciate your sentiment about Rob. My good friend Tony and I just
learned Rob had been making secret trips to the driving range in hopes of surprising us on the links. As far as we know he had no urge to see a golf
course much less play on one. It the way he was, I think he was searching for some answers about why we cared about the sport in the first place and
also to see if he could find some humor at blind siding us out there. GREAT sense of humor. The mayor of Annapolis you might guess is actually one
of the few pols that not only command respect from everybody but true admiration as well. Annapolis is small town of which the inner workings of I know little
but I know the circles are small and this hurt more than a few people. Thank you again, everyone.
