A unit destroyed

I've lost a 1/3 of the BR Airborne Division in Sicily and I wonder, is there any way to rebuild the unit or merge the BR Division and divide it into 3 parts again?

A destroyed Allied combat unit should be rebuilt on the next turn after it's destroyed. I don't think this will happen if the unit was merged into another unit. Was the unit not rebuilt? IIRC, this feature is turned off in some scenarios. What scenario are you playing?

Shouldn't partial units always auto-rebuild ?

I don't know of any code to make that happen. Sounds like a good idea, but I don't think that's in the code.

The main scenario, 1943-1945. I have 2 paratrooper units in the same hex where they started and I cannot merge them.
