Army Group North, turn 12, 7/30/1941

We have captured Shlisselburg. Leningrad is surrounded, only life road remains open. We have moved fast around Leningrad and our positions are still very fragile east of Leningrad. Now we are going to secure the area by moving more units there. We are not going to attack the city yet.

Starya Russa was captured. 16th Army units are moving to the Valday hills.

Aircraft losses are 71 our planes and 680 enemy planes. Air superiority 37 to 8.

Army Group Center, turn 12, 7/30/1941

We have encircled several enemy divisions in the Bryansk sector. The supply situation is difficult here. Despite the odds our panzers are advancing towards Bryansk. We have 3rd Pz division in the reserve. They are going to join the fight and we’ll hope Bryansk will fall next week.

On the north flank we are slowly pushing forward. We don’t have enough supplies to move any faster. There opens a huge gap in the front near Vladimirskoye. Our motorized units are moving fast through the woods.

Many divisions are resupplying near Smolensk.

Army Group South, turn 12, 7/30/1941

We have crossed a river at Cherkassy. Huge success! Panzers are moving full speed to the enemy rear. We’ll hope to seal the pocket around Kiev in the next few days. We have several well supplied panzer divisions in the reserve. They are moving towards Cherkassy bridge. Our northern pincer has not been so successful. They are not going to cross Desna anytime soon.

In the south 60th Mot captured Nikolayev. Rumanians have captured some trenches around Odessa.

Army Group North, turn 13, 8/3/1941

2nd SS Totenkopf Regiment has cut Volkhov-Tikhvin railroad. This route was a last major supply line to Leningrad. Leningrad pocket is now isolated. Soviet battleships have been bombarding our troops near Oranienbaum.

Nelidovo and Vladimirskoye were captured on the north flank. We are advancing towards Olenino and Rzhev.

At the center we are advancing along the main highway. Only 20 km to Vyazma.

On the south flank we have reached the suburbs of Bryansk.

More panzer formations have crossed the river at Cherkassy. The Kiev pocket is almost sealed.

11th Army is moving towards Kherson. We have decided to send two German divisions to help Rumanians fighting Odessa.

I have been busy, some IRL issues.

We have captured Tikhvin. The only road connection to Leningrad goes now in the Svir river area. Finnish units are going to cut that connection soon. Meanwhile we have penetrated the outer Leningrad fortification zone. On the south flank we are digging in along the green dotted line.

We have been advancing fast on the north flank. There is only 20 km to Rzhev. Vyazma was captured by 86th infantry division.

Bryansk was captured. This was a very important victory. Our supply is going to improve greatly on the south flank. Now the road is clear towards Orel.

The Kiev pocket is sealed. We have surrounded about 46 enemy formations. We are trying to form another pocket on the north flank by capturing Mena.

Kherson was captured. There has been some progress at Odessa, but it will take some time before the city is ours.

Army Group North, turn 15, 8/10/1941

There is a dangerous situation near Tikhvin. Our 8th Panzer division is surrounded and out of supply. We don’t have any reserves nearby, so they must hold. Our infantry is moving along the coast of Ladoga towards the life road.

Finnish forces have captured Viipuri and the enemy is defeated in the Karelian isthmus.

Our railhead is already near Luga.

We have made a major breakthrough in the center. Gzhatsk and Sychyovka were captured. The spearhead is moving along the Moscow highway and is now only 20 km from Mozhaysk. The enemy has been counterattacking near Rzhev.

2nd Panzer Army is resupplying near Bryansk.

Kiev is captured! Now it’s time to eliminate isolated enemy units. We are not going to advance beyond the green dashed line until the supply situation improves on the east bank of Dnieper.

Railhead is near Fastov moving east.
