Problems with German unit arrival in campaign game

Problems with German unit arrival in campaign game

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to get a campaign game going vs. the AI, and I am having problems with certain German units not arriving. They appear on the reinforcement/withdrawl list until the turn before they are supposed to arrive, and then they disappear off the list and they do not arrive in the game. In particular, I notice that the II SS Panzer Corps HQ and the 1st SS Panzergrenadier division do this.

I have had to stop and restart the campaign after a few turns a couple times now, because of this. I even used the scenario editor to hard code arrival spots for all the German HQs/divisions that have arrival hexes of 0, 0, (In the editor, I noticed that both the II SS Pz corps and the 1st SS panzergrenadier had 0,0 as their starting location.) on the theory that this was what was creating the problem. Nope--same thing still happens. The units appear on the reinforcement list until the turn before they are supposed to arrive, and then they disappear and don't arrive at all.

Here is a picture of the revised unit info sheet in the editor for the II SS corps. Notice that I hard-coded the arrival hex for it (That's the coords for Koenigsburg, in case you care). Is there something I am missing?

I think there's a data issue here but I'm not sure. I'll see if the Denniss has any ideas. Did you look to see if these units are in the Eastern Front box. In my test with EF on, one of them is in the EF box and one is on the map. With EF off they are both on the map.

please share a save of your current game with the units not arriving.
What's your game version ?
Do you play with east front control on or off ?

Where do I send the game save to? And I am playing with the Eastern Front on, but neither of the units immediately in question (II SS Pzr Corps, 1st SS Panzergrenadier) were in the Eastern Front box.

I am playing version 1.01.37, which I downloaded from the Matrix website 8-10 months ago I guess. I can't remember if I have updated since then.

Upload the file to a sharehoster of your choice and post a link to this file or open a thread in Tech support subforum where you should be able to attach it (you need to .zip it first).
Your game version is far outdated.
Please doublecheck the to-arrive units are not already present on-map.

II SS Panzer Corps starts in EFB, for non-EFB games there will be two versions arriving on turn 4/52 (first version will withdraw t35)
1st PzG starts in EFB too so the unit arriving t5 won't arrive.
It's possible your old version handles arrivals different than the most recent version, AFAIR the duplicate units will be removed upon scenario start so you won't see them in arrival/withdrawal screen.

OK, I will update my version of WitW and see if that takes care of the problem. I will submit a tech support ticket if it does not. Thanks!
