The major action today was in Indochina, and each side sees to be feeling out the other's intentions. The KB remains at Cam Ran Bay, and it might just be there to help guard the air drop of extra troops, the bombarding TFs now being employed and to entice the Allies to strike against a full CAP with LBA added in.
Instead I'll hold the Allied CVs near Kompong Trach and sweep the base tomorrow with P-38E. Today Bien Hoa also fell, and the 32nd US ID will now walk into Saigon. Several armoured units will be there in time for the first attack, and a number of smaller infantry units will join shortly after. An Indian ID just landed at Kompong as well and will make its as quickly as it can. If I can take Saigon, those troops will move to Cam Ran and overwhelm the 9k of troops there plus any added fairly easily. So I'll actually welcome him flying in more as they'll eventually be POWs anyway. He can't move on Quinhon with anything major anytime soon, and I've got more and more being shipped over every day. A British ID will be allocated to Canthaburi to isolate Bangkok and close that door.
On Malaya the armoured units moving on Singora ran into an Independent Brigade. They got a chunk out in the first attack with no damage to the tanks, so I'll wait for a Dutch regiment to move in and try again. I think I'll not have to add more in here.
In the South troops continue to walk toward Kuantan, hitting the IJA refugees from Kota Baru on the way.
The invasion of Pegu just launched from Cochin and will include the CVE Long Island and CL Hermes for (very light) air cover. I'll send my first P-38F group this way to try and sweep Rangoon prior to the landing and also bomb the port hoping to add some damage to the cruisers stuck there.
