I don't understand why Allies were attacking any place in the Pacific except for Hanoi and the Japanese home factory; once those two places fell, all Japanese units (except for the partisan) were going to fall off the map, so no reason to risk units killing them.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

The Chinese wanted the Japanese out of their country. It was the Chinese Nationalist and communist that did all the fighting. With the Japanese gone their war is now over.

Honestly, I wasn't sure what would happen after the last Japanese factory fell. Even I had known for sure that the Japanese were going away at the end of turn, I'd would have attacked anyway with the Chinese units. From an historic perspective I felt that was real.

Turn 35. May/June 1945. Evacuation of Sardinia and Other "Conquered" Territory.

Because of the unconditional surrender of Italy, and to some extent, the unconditional surrender of Japan, a number of allied air and naval units on conquered territory that suddenly became neutral were hastily forced to evacuate resulting in the disorganization of 4 allied fighter squadrons, 4 bomber squadrons, 3 transport and 1 amphibious naval unit in the MTO.

The allies "knew" Italy was going to surrender but didn't anticipate as part of that they have to immediately evacuate Sardinia. This definitely degrades their operational capability in the MTO.

Live and learn ...

This is a bug. Sardinia has already been conquered by the Allies and it should not be reverting back to neutrality. And I expect the same thing to be happening in the Pacific too...

Ok, thanks! I'll dig up a gamesave and post a bug report over in the tech forum then.
