Hopefully those units that took Truk are in bad shape and will need a few months to recover. I am sure he has other units already prepped for his next landings.

The fire level got up to 78%

All right, who added the extra-strength sake to the ship's provision lockers??
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

It's the start of July 43 and there is the VP screen. Not too much jumps out here.

BTW, how does everyone make those quote boxes from previous posts?

And the production screen. I've managed to get the resource importation onto an even keel and bringing in more fuel to the HI. No significant advances in airplane development but I swear sometimes it seems like the development numbers go backwards. I do get the N1K1 George next month with a 20! gun level. Maybe that can start bringing down his heavies.

You must be using the "Fast Reply" posting box at the bottom of the page. If you click on the "Reply" button at the top of any post, it brings up a box that has a "quote" button. Click on that and it will place the quote/unquote code in square brackets for the computer to know what goes in the quote box. Then just put your text in between the two codes (open and close) and when you post it will be in the box.

That one looks like you used the "Quote" button at the top, which copies the entire post. Sometimes you just want to copy part of a post and have it in the white box, so first hit the "Reply" button to bring up the posting box, then use the quote button to get the two square bracket codes, and paste in the text or image you copied from the original post. Comme ça ...

I'm catching on ever so slowly.

In other news, Scott lost a sub to my Saipan minefield and I lost a large TK to his subs near Formosa.

Gentlemen, I believe we may have a carrier battle a-brewin! Scott moved a large CV force near the DEI and did a port strike on me that sank a few support ships. I have 14 CVs/CVLs that are going to come charging at full speed out of Tarakan and a serviceable airfield still intact. I don't think Scott will stick around but, if he does, ships will be sunk. If he stays in the approximate area where he is it will be a knife fight.

One worry is that Scott's subs clearly have had an upgrade recently as they are shooting more and hitting more. Must be some new radar. But, we can't cower in port for the whole remaining war and, if Scott sticks around, I'm likely to have significant superiority. Stay tuned!

Bah, the Americans ran away so no carrier battle! In better news, both Guam and Saipan have stockpiles of 50,000 supplies so they should be able to last awhile.

Day surface action off of Manakowri caught a fat Ak convoy with four IJN DDs. Three confirmed AK kills and more sinking sounds after the battle. My boys are low on fuel, out of torpedos, and heading home.

And, there may be more action come the new day. Since I have the whole CV force in one place and we're probably in some state of CV parity right now, I might was well go looking to see if I can find US carriers They were here a couple of days ago. And, if they're not here there may be some surface ships I can get.

I can't get the fleet to move further away from those sub sightings without waypoints and I don't want to use those when heading into battle.

Scott had another sub hit a mine at Saipan and I've reinforced the mine field there. It's up to 605 so it's pretty thick.

We'll see if his CVs show up to play!

The neverending battles over Manokawri continue! Here is the strike that went in during the am turn and got some nice results. I think Scott lost at least one CA as there are reports of two float planes dead and he may have lost the CL. Nothing sank on screen, but there were sinking sounds after the battle. Another strike sank three 9 point AKs.

Unfortunately, a sub got a torpedo in on the Kaga. There were reports of fires, but, thank God, no flames are spotted. She's slower but still an operating flight platform.

The plan for the morning. Move away from the sub concentration and still in a position to hit the ships at Manakowri as well as shield the bombardment TFs that are heading in. I did hear an audio report of carriers but did not see any CV TFs. Perhaps that one far away to the East under Wolai (sp?). May be a carrier battle tomorrow and maybe not. My plan is to leave the battle area after tomorrow. The sprint three days ago burned a lot of fuel so I don't want to be stuck out here running on fumes.

You can also delete some of the text in the quote as long as the quote marks inside [] are there.

I always thought that the Enemy Carriers Spotted means that your carriers were spotted.
I do not know what is scarier: that I do understand nothing of this demonic script or that I am starting to see the demons that it evokes.

Hmm, I dont think so. I'm talking about the radio message saying that enemy carriers have been spotted. And, I also sometimes get the message "main body" I've always assumed that it was referring to enemy ships and not my own.

+1.
How would you get a radio message from the enemy that he has spotted your carriers? Has to be your aircraft sighting his. The total DL on the enemy carriers will determine if the game displays a CVTF icon at their location.
