Getting the game today...must have mods

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

What are the must have mods for this game?

Or, should I hold off until I get comfortable with the game play?

I suggest to go for vanilla at first to learn the basics, and as soon as the AI begins to bore you, to change to PbEM. Nevertheless there are many interesting Mods, especially interesting for single players.
