Is this klunker still supported?

Post by ScepticSmith568 »

No updates since January... badly needs a lot of work... adverts for TOAW III on the splash screen...

So much potential - but seems like a lost cause.

Klunker? Look at all the enthusiastic posts about TOAW 4 on this forum. Are we all wrong or is your judgment flawed?

His name says it all. My splash screen says it's TOAWIV which tells me you have not even bought the game so how would you know mate, eh?

It's a good buy. Take the dive. [;)]

OK - yes, there are clearly some great fans for this awesome title. I have been on board since Century of Warfare and have purchased that and every version since. I am not calling you guys out - the ten or twenty of you who have probably generated 90% of these posts are doing more work on this thing now then the people who got paid for it.

That said - Why no more upgrades when there are so many massive flaws - as evidenced by all the crazy workarounds that necessitate most of these posts?

My question stands: is this thing still supported by the publisher? If this is now more a fan project, that's cool, but its a bummer that it seems to have seen much less followup work than previous versions. It may sound crazy - but I happen to like it when the bugs get fixed.

Like I said. You don't have TOAWIV patch maybe so the game shows what you have and tells you a new version is available. I have never seen TOAWIII displayed. Just the patch. BTW, you bought this 'clunker'.

We'll look into why TOAW3 is still advertised, thanks for that.

Otherwise, of course the game is still supported. We have a lot of things in the pipeline, from fixes to new features. You'll hear about them soon!

Suggest your post is most important in months. But it's buried at trailing end of one thread. Perhaps you could repeat as new thread, with some supplemental comments bi-weekly or monthly to maintain confidence that help is one the way. Would be even better if someone could annotate existing/new bug threads with someone indicating bug identified, bug fixed, fix tested, etc. A sense of visible progress would be more encouraging than a "promised" release date.
