Loading up again years later....where to start

Hi, Gents.
An old friend of mine wants to get back into another game. It has been a few years for sure since we last touched this bad boy. Using Windows 10 these days and all. Is there a listing of steps to take for setup? Listing of all the switches etc? All the best guys.
