Do aircraft carriers have planes already in the carrier itself or does the player have to build them?

One more question: When using troops transports in an amphibious invasion, how much infantry can each troop ship carry.

Sorry, no, you must build the planes too. This allows you to allocate your load out which is a big advantage.

Looking at the General Stats for a Medium cargo ship you will find the carry cap. is 40. Looking at a R2 rifle unit you will see a weight of 10. Therefore a Medium cargo ship acting as an amphibious transport can carry four R2.

These stats look better though, if you use troop transports :)
