All Industries Lost

I take Singapore and every Industries is completely damaged , all at 0,
Is it Normal?

Same happens when i take Soerebaja , but there at least some ENG have escape from city when i capture it.

Also Palembang and Miri, i get half production damaged.

I'm playing a PBEM , Japanese side, scenario 2.

Not normal, but it can happen. It is a rare outcome.

In nearly every game I've played, Singapore has been taken with 100% damage.

I guess I have not really looked that close, but I don't remember nearly 100% damage in any game.

Both of my PBEMs as Japan come to mind.

I don't remember the other 3 PBEMs, as I wasn't Japan in those games, or the 3-4 AI games.

OP: Not my experiences, that's bad luck for you.

In nearly all games, Miri is at 50% refinery due to pre-ordained damage. The others are unfortunate rolls that may be exacerbated by the presence of engineers.

One thing to keep in mind, if the Allies are able to move all of their base force units into Singapore, they have a lot of engineers.

Yeah, its mostly the engineers that cause that and having that knowledge your opponent could take full advantage of the fact. There're other circumstances as well, other than bad die rolls. For instance was the battle a long one, it appears to me that when I have these there's more likelihood of damage. TBH I've not seen damage to that scale to those facilities in any game that I've played, and Palembang's damage is devastating, especially if its oil fields and refinery. BTW, you understand that you could contribute to these damage levels. If you use naval bombardment TF's to hit these facilities they could very well damage any infrastructure in the base. Also don't air bomb ports that have repair yards either, unless you want to damage these as well.

In my anecdotal experience, engineers don't matter a whit, regardless of what the manual says.

One other thing that came to mind. I know in the first attack on Singers you have no choice as its a 'river crossing', but don't use 'shock attacks' in these bases. Shock attacks tend to damage more infrastructure than other attack methods. In addition to that they're not really needed most of the time.

I've had almost every possible outcome with Singers, so 0 - 100% damage is entirely within the range of expected outcomes.

OK, something that has happened in my game brings me back to this thread.

I haven't done this in a long time and the result was tangent to my decision to rerun a turn, but here goes...

I made a small mistake in my game that was bugging me more than usual for some reason. So I decided to just run the turn again so I could fix it. Well it happen that I just captured Changsha that turn. Before I restarted I checked and all industry and resources in the base were 100% destroyed. Oh, well...

After rerunning the turn all were 100% fully operational.

Now I know its a matter of die rolls, but really? While I haven't had the problems that the op alluded to above, I have had an unusually high number of resource centers destroyed in my current game. Much more than in the past and I'm beginning to wonder, as this is my first game with the latest beta (1126b).

Is it possible that something inadvertently occurred in that update? Has anyone else noticed anything unusual or is it just a fluke, or bad luck as it could very well likely be?

I don't see anything unusual. Singapore had everything at 1, after taking, but other bases tend to have only minor damages. Mostly 1 manpower, and few resources damaged (like, less than 10). Maybe 2 oil/refinery, but that's it.

Don't forget to have 10000 at least supply to repair them.

Yeah, Singers I get is problematic. Although I've had goo luck with it.

The one big reason I asked is that in my current game its been really bad with the resource centers. To the point where I had an empire wide deficit until about Oct. '42. Not usual.
