Eight months with no update is pushing it

Post by Rosseau »

I have been too busy downloading converted scenarios to realize my TOAW IV exe is dated 12/13/17. While I love the game, I think this is pretty unacceptable for a $40 premium product upgrade. Tiny devs are coming out with constant updates on Steam. The lack of patches is way too long, based on current industry practice, including Matrix titles.

If your strategy is to release one big update vs. many small tweaks, so be it. But it better be a good one, imo.

No rancor here; I am a big fan of the design. Just my opinion based on what I see in the industry.

You have one developer working on this. Not an entire production team. So yeah, it tends to take awhile. [;)]

Would be surprised if it didn't come before the Steam release.
Still haven't played much because of CTD issues and map breaking up when scrolling.

Working on the Steam release took a bit more time than we initially anticipated, but we are just days away from releasing a major update. :)

Well, that would explain it. A Steam release is a huge thing, and kind of scary as well. Like being thrown to the lions. Best wishes on that one.

Wow, I am way too old to play TOAW on a tablet. [:)] However, could be just the thing to help the game take off!

Any inkling on what will be in the major update? Any new features?

Have you guys fixed the PBEM+ system only running over plain-text http, and sending your password and game serial unencrypted over the internet?

I know most of the old guard on here wouldn't probably care about it, but the Steam forum lot is of a different sort... [8D]
