China has struck with artillery bombardments along the front and managed to inflict losses on isolated Japanese forces. The defeat of an armored and artillery division has lifted the spirits of the Chinese army.

May 1938

The front has mostly stabilized a China digs in and Japan gathers their forces for the offensive. Chinese officers made a foolish charge to battle across a river in the north. Despite the victory, casualties were very high. High Command will no longer allow such independence from their officers going forward.

Germany and Italy at peace
Austria joined the German speaking community
Japan is uable to mount an offensive against the huge, but poorly equipped Chinese Army. Aircraft, artillery and tanks are being rushed to the Front. Chinese losses increased with Japnese losses were small this turn. The new Chi-Ha tanks are reaching the armoured units.
