New Patch

Hello - does anyone have a step by step guide as to how I get this update on my computer please?

I've no idea what Primary and Secondary server means - nor why there is PC Update and PC Installer.

Any Janet and John step by step guide would be appreciated!

download the installer 15th of Nov 2017, which is the first you need, as it is the latest version of the game and will be better than the one most of the buyers will have eg 1.0 etc

then once the installer is finished, either use the auto updater to add in the latest patch, or download the patch from above 15th of Oct 2018

primary or secondary only means if one is slow with too many on it, you can always download from the other one, so it's the same file, just on 2 different addresses

then add in the hot fix for the fixes posted after the last update as per link here

files downloaded and serial handy, and hot fix in a zip file, not unzipped as yet[;)]

unzip hot file to your download folder, we can move it later, but it needs to be unzipped sometime, so i'll do it now

so now we have this in out download folder




so we can safely delete the hotfix, or move it to a saved folder elsewhere, your choice

now run the file called TheOperationalArtofWar4-SetupRelease-v4.0.0.11




run as admin on the install will auto setup all the correct file permissions in windows 10 on a full administrator account.

enter your serial number, you only need to do this once, as on the updates, the windows version will auto do it for you by default,...

install it to where ever you like, as long as it's not the root directory etc and on any drive, as long as it's a local one, and not a hotswap eg unplug able one / or none local

always say yes, as it only over writes if you already have it, but to be on the safe side and it doesn't take more than a 30 seconds, i always do it, no matter what

game now installed, just need the latest patch and then a hot fix and we are done[;)]
