Awesome!

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Awesome!

Hi,
I just purchased and installed the game.
Wow! This is more complex than I thought. I wish I hit the lotto so I can stop working and play this game for a straight year.
I am new to hexagon/turn-based wargames. At the beginning I was very reluctant to try this type. When I fired up KP I was surprised to see that the hexagon/turns design philosophy really melts the events of an operation in an excelent way. I never thought a hexagon/turn based game would play so-well at the operational level.
This is a masterpiece. I can recognize it even when I am in Lesson #1 of the tutorial.

P/S#1: Other thing that influenced my decision was some interviews I read about the awesome enemy AI. Looking forward to see it.
P/S#2: Regarding the lotto thing: with two more games down the road (HTTR and EYSA) I REALLY gonna need the money.

Ha.. Yes.. I am new to hex-based wargaming as well. I have installed it, but not yet begun playing it. I intend to get through the first couple tutorials this evening.

Nice to see some fresh blood in the "hexbased business", so much for a dead genre ;)

New to the mold - great welcome! In terms of KP, there are some articles over at Wacht am Rhein will should give any newbies some tips and assistance in playing the game.
Isn't that bizarre?
