• Further deployments are planned to forestall any attempts at January auto-victory by the dastardly Imperials. Noumea will be garrisoned by at least two US infantry divisions
May I ask, why two whole divisions? Isn't that an overkill?

Noumea is a good place to have troops prepping for future ops, and to prevent a base with a huge VP multiplier from falling. Gotta take a stand somewhere.

A slight correction: in looking at the stacking limit at Noumea the two division will not both be there except in the event of Imperial invasion. One will be at Koumac, directly adjacent.

Yes, two divisions! All that BB says is true, with my emphasis being on stopping any attempt at an auto-victory grab. With only one division there we could easily lose the base and the division plus supporting units. With two divisions plus supporting units we have a much better chance at holding the base. The division assigned to Noumea is a USMC division and so quite stout. Plenty of supporting units are going in to build the fortifications and base rapidly, which will provide support to a USN carrier counter-strike opposing an invasion.

China will yield the Empire a bucket load of VP, so come end of '42 the Emperor might be tempted to make a dash for some high VP properties. Even though he can come with everything if he wishes, we have made the high value properties in India hard targets. Plus if the IJN commits to the Indian Ocean Cantankerous Olfactory can proceed practically carefree. BTW, SigInt continues to show the Empire making *no* reinforcement of the target areas!

I am flying supplies into Tennant Creek with medium bombers. I have built the airfield and fortifications some, but of course doing much of that eats supply too. Beyond Tennant Creek the bases show red. Units in the field are getting 'enough' supply to operate but they are not exactly operating black markets. [:D]
