Is it possible to change sides during a game vs the AI?

I have been playing the Axis vs Soviet Computer, and the Soviets are on their last toes. So I thought it would be interesting and challenging if I could switch sides and play as the Soviets. I don't even know if this is possible, but if it is I would appriciate any help!

Been a while since I have done this - but yes. I think it needs to be a .sav file that you are saving and not a password protected .psv file - which should be the case anyway if you are playing the computer. And then I think if you just change the game options before opening the game file on the turn you have got to you can select which side you want to play on. Or even play both. Or even get the AI to play both!

I think you can just load the game, go to game options and select witch side you want the AI to play from there...

Usually, the AI plays the original side for one last turn before handing over to you.
