[RESOLVED] Install disk 3

When I try to install off of download or DVD disk it asks for disk 3. Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like you have a bad or corrupt download.

site version from the members area ?

is one zip file and then when unpacked, should be done in your download folder and not desktop, and installed from there, again not a desktop folder, which may not have the correct permissions etc

once downloaded, unpack and you should get this

just run the one shown, and as it's unzipped fine, with no error, it's a working download, if it doesn't unpack without error, then it's a faulty download




as all 3 files are in the same place, it won't ask for disk 3, as it already knows where it is, it only ask's if it's faulty or not in the same folder or hasn't permissions to continue eg wrong folder eg desktop download or elsewhere without admin rights etc

But it's doing it with the DVD also. I even bought a registry cleaner, but no go.

check your anti virus program and see if that's stopping it, or post a screenshot of the error and or your report so everything hardware wise can be rules out

To obtain the DxDiag file:
1. Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
4. Name the file "dxdiag" and click Save.

then attach the txt file to the reply

the download will be more up to date than the DVD, so i'd use that tbh also

and if your using a rubbish or poor anti virus program, like

avast or AVG or some other poor free one, you may need to add the files or even the whole folder to the white list, as some are next to useless with game installing, eg not letting or trying to scan the file at the same time as your using it or trying to etc etc

I have Kaspersky I have installed Command before with no problem but I had to do a drive wipe. DxDiag shows no problem.

if the dvd disk 3 isn't reading / working, you can't get the same error with the downloaded version unless something else is interfering with it, i've just downloaded the site version and installed it as i was and am using the steam version, works fine here, so rules out a faulty upload, so unless you re download it again and unpack it in the download folder and re try, there's not a lot left to suggest tbh i'm sorry to say, apart from good luck
