And the description also confirms what some big shrimp insiders have asserted long ago: A capability comparable with CEC has been equipped in the PLAN:

Minnie Chan just “rebuked” it today, with the claims of effective tariffs and counter-intelligence by US to slow the Chinese new carrier construction.ORIGINAL: Hongjian
Official confirmation by Chinese state media that the 3rd carrier is under construction. Well, PLA watchers knew this long ago...

"Blockade, an act of war by which a belligerent prevents access to or departure from a defined part of the enemy’s coasts."
No. It's in testing phase with 2 squadrons only, both of which operate FGR.4 meaning they are Tranche 1. So for "regular duty" it will be 2019 at least and only in those 2 squadrons, other fighters are not yet modified. Is the Meteor air-to-air missile presently fielded for regular duty by the Royal Air Force on its Tranche 2 Typhoons?
The only air force that already fields Meteor operationally (like flies CAPs and intercepts with them as part of their regular operations) is the Swedish one. Grippen was the 1st to operationally field the meteor missile. Next is UK where it's not yet fielded, but 2 squadrons will get it next year. The french Rafale F3-R modification (the one that can carry the Meteor) was certified just month ago meaning no active Rafales were yet modified to use it. For the Luftwaffe I won't even comment, will just say they don't use Meteor yet.Is the Meteor AAM similarly fielded yet by other air forces, specifically the French, German, and Swedish?
Well depends on the squadron - you will have to research it. There are newer modifications and older ones, there isn't a single standard where all fighters currently in service are upgraded to.One final question: for the purposes of CMANO, to most accurately represent the current fleet of British Typhoons, which database entry is best - the Typhoon FGR.4 (UK-2018), the Typhoon T.3 (UK-2018), or another option?

Is there a AMRAAM version coming out for the US that’s Meteor performance capable, i.e. partial ramjet powered and if not, is there anything in the pipeline to compete against the latest Long-range PLA or Soviet AA missiles we've seen possibly coming operational soon?
