Dance on dagger: Battle of ShangGao 1941

Date: From 14-03-41 to 09-04-1941
Location: China
Time scale: Half week per turn
Length:9 turns

19th Army:Blue

Japanese 11th Corps:Yellow

The Battle of Shanggao,also called Operation Kinkō, was one of the 22 major engagements between the National Revolutionary Army and Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Japanese 11th Corps try to destroy NRA's 19th Army by a short and fierce flank-strike.But Chinese hold their position ,refuse retreat.The battle soon come to a deadlock.On 23 march,Chinese 20th Army join the battlefield,fight back with 19th Army,cut the supply line of Japanese.On 1 April,Japanese have to withdraw. By 19 April the withdrawal was complete, and both sides now occupied their original positions. In conclusion, the battle ended with a decisive victory for the Chinese forces, who were able to capture substantial amounts of military equipment and supplies, and boost the morale of the Chinese people.

This looks really interesting. I'm always excited to try new Republican-era Chinese maps.

By the way, what book did you get the second map from? I'm always looking for good Chinese language materials on the Chinese civil and Sino-Japanese wars. 中文書名會更好 [:D].
